Now, I have a real soft spot for a good old English country wedding. You know the sort of day – lovely bride & groom, beautifully dressed guests (ladies in hats, gents in traditional morning suits), a small village church and beautiful reception venue. Add the opportunity to catch up with a very old friend* plus spend the day meeting (and photographing), a whole bunch of warm and friendly people and well, frankly I’m a very happy chap!
Penny & Macca live in Dubai, but chose Penny’s childhood home of Wylye in Wiltshire to host their wedding. There was a real multinational feel as Macca is Australian (although just how ‘Stralian was put the test during the speeches – see the pics below…), and guests travelled from across the globe to be part of their big day.
*The vast majority of my weddings come through personal recommendation, so I owe a big thank you to my old friend Myles for putting me in touch with Penny & Macca.
If you’re planning your own English country wedding, or know someone who is, drop me a line. Although based on the Suffolk coast, I regularly travel to weddings across the country both near and far. I’d love to hear about your plans and have a chat about how I could be part of your day. Either use the contact page or click on the email icon in the top right corner of this website.
In the meantime, it’s great to share. If you’ve enjoyed viewing these photo’s hit ‘Like’!
