I was originally booked by Kate more than a year in advance of her wedding and, having listened to the couples plans, I knew the day would have a timeless elegance. It was important that my photographs captured and reflected this without cliche or contrived poses.
The wedding featured two of the finest hotels in London (and arguably the world), The Ritz and The Connaught. Again, it was important that the venues played their part in the pictures, but not to the point of dominating. With this in mind, I very carefully planned the shots I wanted and how they’d be created with the minimum of direction so as to keep a documentary feel. This also included two venue visits plus email correspondence with Kate to ensure the couple were happy with what I was aiming to achieve. On the day everything went exactly to plan resulting in a set of images which perfectly capture this beautiful day.
I’m proud to be recommended by The Connaught Hotel and would love to hear from couples planning their own celebrations here.
They married at Farm Street Catholic Church, Mayfair, London.
Evening entertainment was by Cate Cody and her band.
I’m proud to be recommended by The Connaught Hotel, so if you are planning your own celebration here I’d love to hear from you.
