I met Regina & Steve at a wedding show in Kent and although they were planning to marry in Regina’s home village of Ahascragh, Co. Galway, it was important to the couple that they had a UK based destination wedding photographer. Couples planning overseas celebrations will very often book a local photographer or simply use one provided as part of a hotel/venue package. Although seeming to provide an easy solution it however doesn’t offer you, the client, an opportunity to build a relationship with your photographer. That’s fine is photo’s aren’t top of your list of priorities, but the fact that you’re looking at my website and reading this suggests that you care a great deal about how your day is recorded!
The simple truth is the more time I’m able to spend listening to clients and understanding what makes them tick, the more the resulting photographs really capture individuals character and personality. Isn’t that so much better than being shuffled through the same catalogue of formulaic poses and locations as every other couple who used the local photographer?
So, a massive thank you to Regina & Steve for inviting me to be a part of their day. Ireland is a wonderful place and I can’t wait to go back for another wedding soon.
Their fantastic cake was made by Steve’s sister who drove it from Kent to Ireland by car.
Many thanks to Discover Ireland for their help in planning my trip: www.discoverireland.com
