A Sunny Early Spring Suffolk Wedding – Kelly & James

Sunny Early Spring Suffolk Wedding at Rendham Church and Easton Grange - Kelly & James

Sunny Early Spring Wedding Photography at Easton Grange

After what feels like the winter that would never end, it was a complete joy to wake up to bright sunshine on the morning of Kelly & James’ sunny early spring wedding at St Michael’s Church, Rendham near Framlingham in Suffolk.

We just wanted to say the BIGGEST thank you for everything you have done for us. Everyone commented on how professional you were while being one of the friendliest photographers they had ever met, and we couldn’t agree more!! We couldn’t have imagined sharing our day with anyone else, you were an absolute pleasure to have around and put us completely at ease. We had such an incredible day and have been reliving every moment since. It was everything we dreamed of and more!!

Thank heavens for a sunny day! If you’re anything like me, you’ll have reached a point where the Beast From The East (parts 1 & 2), leaden, grey skies and being wrapped in winter woollens was starting to really get me down. I’d been looking at the calendar on a near daily basis, counting down the days until the beginning of this years wedding season and keeping everything crossed for a break in the weather. It was such a relief to pull back the curtains on the morning of Kelly & James’ wedding in early April to a clear blue sky and bright, crisp sunshine!

Kelly & James are livestock farmers (based just outside Framlingham), and are rightly proud of their herd of Simmental cattle and the day included the odd nod towards them with the fab cake topper and tables named after their favourite cows. They are also one of the nicest couples you could wish to meet – down to earth, head-over-heels for each other and absolutely looking forward to their wedding day.

I’ve been a Suffolk based wedding photographer since 2012 (after moving here from down south), and have had the pleasure of being part of numerous farming family weddings. Suffolk has a tight-knit farming community and I regulary see previous couples during the course of a year. It’s always lovely to catch up and great to have seen Evie & Toby (and their gorgeous baby girl, Loralie), who were guests on the day.

During the build up to a couples wedding day, I’m very often asked to recommend other suppliers. Being a Suffolk wedding photographer, one has a chance to meet a lot of fellow wedding professionals who are great at what they do and dedicated to giving the best possible service. It’s always a pleasure to pass their details on to couples and feel the warm fuzzy glow of having helped put a fellow small business in touch with someone eager to use their services. Kelly & James’ wedding was no exception and I was thrilled they’d booked both Capture Media to film the day and the flippin’ brilliant Mister Kanish to play in the evening.

So, a beautiful, sunny, spring day spent in the company of a lovely couple and their welcoming families, at one of my favourite venues working alongside some of the best fellow suppliers I know. Some days I really do have to pinch myself! Thank you Kelly & James 🙂

Credit where credit’s due – Kelly & James married at St Michael’s Church, Rendham followed by a reception at nearby  Easton Grange Wedding Venue. On the day I had the pleasure of shooting alongside videographer Mike Reid of Capture Media Who I wholeheartedly recommend – a really nice fellah and great to work with. Kelly’s Stella York dress was from Fleur de Lys Bridal in Saffron Walden and the flowers were from Best Buds. Evening entertainment was courtesy of Mister Kanish, without doubt the best wedding band I’ve have the pleasure of hearing. This was the third wedding I’ve seen them play and whenever asked for a band recommendation, it’s their details I pass on – guaranteed to have your guests dancing and talking about them for weeks to come!

I’m very honoured to be one of a handful of trusted and recommended suppliers at Easton Grange and visit regularly throughout the year. Click here to see more weddings and shoots from one of my favourite Suffolk wedding venues.
