Hello! I'm Dominic, an award winning wedding and family portrait photographer. Based in Suffolk, I will shoot your wedding or portrait session across East Anglia and beyond.
Most importantly, my photographs tell stories. The story of your wedding, your family or your occasion.
Authentic photography, created with honesty, passion and flair.
Helmingham Hall is a moated manor house which dates back to the early 16th century and has remained in the ownership of the same family all that time. Whilst the main house, reached only by drawbridge, is closed to visitors, wedding guests are free to explore and enjoy the beautiful formal gardens and grounds.
The gardens offer many opportunities for beautiful wedding photographs, both formal and relaxed. Some of my favourite locations are the paths through the partere gardens and the grand tree lined drive leading to the house.
I'm one of a very select group of wedding photographers recommended by the venue and it's always a genuine treat to visit. My wedding photography appeals to couples marrying at Helmingham Hall who are keen to use local suppliers – I'm based just a short drive away in the Suffolk countryside.
Dating back to the 16th century the Hall and parkland have remained in the same family all that time.
The house remains a private residence, reached by drawbridge which is raised every evening!
Your marriage ceremony can take place in either the Coach House or St Mary's Church.
The gardens and parkland are then yours to explore until your wedding breakfast. This can be hosted either back in the Coach House or book a marquee on the lawns.
The stunning gardens are overseen by the current Lady Tollemache (an award winning Chelsea Flower Show exhibitor).
The formal parterre and walled garden make a perfect backdrop to your wedding photographs.
Q. Where do we have the reception?
A. For larger weddings, the Hall's event co-ordinators can help you arrange a marquee reception in the park along with recommending caterers (my favourite's are the always excellent Fox & Goose at nearby Fressingfield). If you plan a smaller wedding, the Stables make a great all-weather alternative.
Q. What hotels are local to Helmingham Hall?
A. There are numerous accomodation options nearby. To the south is Ipswich where you'll find hotels to suit most budgets. This part of mid-Suffolk is known for its pretty villages and many small country pubs and inns which offer bed and breakfast accomodation.
Q. How do we find Helmingham?
A. Easily accessible by road from London and the Midlands via the A12 and A14. Rail services are also nearby at Needham Market and Stowmarket. Both stations have taxi services which you'd be well advised to book in advance (particularly journeys later in the day or evening).
I'm usually able to respond to all enquiries with 24 hours - if you've not heard back from me by then, please check your junk-mail folder.
